You,should have already,seen the film by now,so I'm not going to take the liberty of narrating it again.
Ridley scott,is something,more than a is more of an artist,I suppose,For,Gladiator,is his breathtaking masterpiece.Everything from the screenplay,to the music is on point,the casting is lit,the way they have showed the Roman Empire,the garden,the Colosseum,even the slave camps,are enchanting and mesmerising.(sounds very cliché?
Russel guy,killed it.
Right from the point when he whooped the arse of the German tribe,to the killing of Commodus,he keeps us glued to the makes us sympathise for Maximus,and rise with him,as he ascends to become Rome's the entire Colosseum,chants "Maximus! one finds it difficult,to control his excitement(I found it difficult.I was honestly jumping and cheering on the inside,but as none of that matters,LET'S MOVE ON. br> Joaquin,nailed the way he portrayed makes us grit our teeth,upon the mere sight of this dirty minded modus,is an immature,wrong doing/thinking pig,who envies the fame of Maximus and has feelings for his sically,an unworthy ruler.
I especially,loved the scenes,leading to the from,when Maximus and Lucilla have a sweet tête-à-tête,in the Gladiator's resting camp,the movie really shifts its are then shown that Maximus is captured,and then moving forward a few scenes,BAM!the climax,one of the best,in the history of Maximus,avenges his family's death,by killing that twisted swine,Commodus,and imagines himself,meeting his wife and his son,the film transcends from a mere form of art that eats up 3 hours of our day,to something abstract,that leaves an indelible mark on the film,depicts,many problems,that still exist in our world and evokes a feeling of satisfaction upon its completion.
The film,like most of Scott's films, especially those like Kingdom Of Heaven,Martian,Robin Hood) caters to the liking of all the film goers.
I speak for myself,when I say,Gladiator,is something,more than just a adiator,shall split the timeline of Historical epics,as Before Gladiator and After Gladiator.
